Bass, Trout, Blue Gill and Catfish

Blue Lakes is a fresh water lake consisting of Upper Blue Lake and Lower Blue Lake. Commonly known as “Blue Lakes”, the larger 103 acre Upper Blue Lake, is a deep, clear and picturesque lake reminiscent of a setting in Switzerland. The lake is surrounded by a steep shoreline featuring hardwood and conifer trees and is excellent for bird watching over 100 species of birds.

Blue Lakes is routinely stocked with Hatchery Trout and is a favorite fishing lake for locals and travelers. A 5 MPH speed limit on the lake keeps it a great vacationing location for water activities including swimming, kayaking, electric boat rentals and bird watching. Blue Lakes is a very deep and cold lake allowing for good fishing year round. A variety of fish are caught including Trout, Bass, Blue Gil, Panfish and a recently caught huge 30-32LB Catfish. Fishing license is required.

Guests of The Lodge at Blue Lakes can enjoy the amenities of the resort and even fish right off the dock and then BBQ for a delicious fish dinner lakeside. Hotel reservations are available year round.
