"Didn't know what to expect from this place but we were so wonderfully surprised. Our room which was very clean overlooked the most lovely deep blue lake. Looks like a mini Lake Tahoe. The place is family owned and we had breakfast with them the next morning. They're a nice couple who love the area and the property. Don't miss this hidden gem!"

"Overall I enjoyed the stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I think the property could have been managed better, like the grass was not trimmed, most of the barbecue grills were not clean."

EXCELLENTBased on 354 reviewsVerifiedAndrew L05/09/2024Great time at the Lodge! Eric is the man! Two words, one man - Eric Soto! From the first time we chatted on the phone to when we checked out, Eric was so friendly and hospitable. You know when you talk to someone you can just get a good feeling about them, well that’s Eric. We went with three other families along with their kids for Labor Day and we had a blast. The rooms were great and the amenities around the Lodge were even better. They have pontoons, floaties, and bbqs all throughout the property. Very well maintained and all of the staff is super accommodating. Eric and staff constantly checked in on us and made sure our stay was a good one.VerifiedGetaway3841944263705/09/2024Anniversary before Labor Day The property manager was laidback, chill, friendly and professional. He was very helpful letting us know where we could grab some dinner, letting us know about our room, and showing us around the property. Room was very clean with working air conditioning. Grounds were nice and accessible to the lake from the dock. Pool doesn’t work, but why would anyone want to go to a pool with a beautiful lake? The bass are biting there and easy access to kayak. We brought our own, but you can rent kayaks and boats, which prices are prominently listed if needed. Love this lake and we will be back for another stay here.VerifiedIngrid M03/09/2024Best weekend ever! This was our first time at the lodge over labor day weekend. Our whole stay was perfect! Eric is simply amazing. He was personable and helpful during our entire stay. We rented a kayak for a couple hours and the process couldn't have been easier. We enjoyed exploring the lake by kayak and floating/swimming at the private beach (we brought a floatie and they had air we could use to inflate it). Room was awesome too. We decided that first night that we'll definitely be going back, especially because of how taken care of Eric made us feel. He is a true gem.VerifiedLarkspurKaren11/08/2024Swim, tube, bar-b-que at the lake! Pleasant and helpful staff, had birthday champagne bottle on ice ready for us in the room, nice upgraded room interior, and all the guests who were there that same weekend were fun and generous. Great first time visit, weekend escape, highly recommend!VerifiedMarina P04/07/2024Perfect spot for family vacation Breathtaking views, water is clean and warm. The hotel has private sandy beach and a lot of water sports equipment for rent. Staff is friendly and always happy to help. All the beaches at the lake are private which keeps the lake clean and not crowded. The hotel also has day use option ($25/day)VerifiedStephen M23/06/2024the Lodge at Blue Lakes will not disappoint you by any means. It's been said that sometimes you only have to look as far as your own backyard. That can not be more true then a visit to the Lodge at Blue Lakes it is but a short drive North from Sacramento. You'll wind your way around Clear Lake pass by two Indian Casinos before you reach your destination. The lodge sits next to Blue Lakes and depending on your room you have a view of the lake, or a view of tree shaded lawn area. You want to bring along Fido grab that leash and bring along your buddy. I guarantee it will take you no time at all to destress while sitting on a lounge chair and watching the rippling of the lake, and the wind blowing through the trees. This is a perfect destination for a couples retreat, a solo get away, or a family/friend gathering. What a great way to celebrate an occasion by renting a 4 – 12 person boat and take to the lake. The Lodge also has a small sand covered beach if you'd like to jump in the lake for a dip. Heading up the 5 you'll veer off at Williams. You didn't pack a picnic basket for an alfresco snack upon your arrival? No worries make a pit stop at Orv's Farm Market and grab some lunch meats, cheese, crackers, a bottle or two of wine and you're set. Craving for something a little more substantial just across the parking lot is Orv's Chicken Shack. Check in is at 3p and you will be greeted by friendly, and professional staff. If you're lucky you'll meet the new owner Charlie if you do tell 'em Cookie sent you. You'll find the rooms large and well appointed. Once unpacked and settled in it's time for that alfresco snack and to watch the sun set behind the mountains. If you enjoy shopping for antiques there are plenty shops around the area for you to do just that. Restaurants are a short drive away. Running Creak Casino has a Seafood Steak House, and the Robinson Rancheria has a more casual food court. Forgot to pack something? No worries a bit further South there is a larger grocery store near the round about. Breakfast I would suggest driving to Lakeport a quaint old town founded in the 1840's during the Gold Rush era. Stop by Mike's they serve breakfast, and lunch well worth the short drive. All in all you will not be disappointed staying at the Lodge at Blue Lakes, see ya there!VerifiedSarah W03/06/2024Great afternoon hang We didn’t stay here overnight, but paid a day use fee of $25 a person to spend the afternoon enjoying the shade and lake here. It was Memorial Day weekend and it wasn’t too crowded. Good amount of shaded or unshaded areas to choose from, and lots of lounge chairs that we could use. Porta Potty bathrooms were also surprisingly clean, including one that had a running faucet. Charlie was great and helped our group of 9 during our visit. We enjoyed swimming and rented kayaks. One of the kayaks did have a broken seat which was a bit annoying, but overall, we had an amazing afternoon here. Would recommend getting the day pass here if you’re interested in visiting blue lakes without staying overnight!
